"Manavya" is an organization catering to residential care and rehabilitation of HIV/AIDS affected destitute, orphan children and women.
Manavya believes that every HIV affected children has a right to survival, health care, education, protection and an equal chance to participate in social activities.

Manavya’s home for HIV/AIDS affected children, called “Gokul” was started in 1997 by late Smt. Vijayatai Lawate, Founder President. Manavya Gokul is located 12 kms. from  Pune, in the village of Matalwadi Phata, Bhugaon. At present, there are 52 children and 3 women, residing at Manavya- Gokul.

Activities of the organization

a) Residential & medical care to HIV positive children and Women.
b) Formal Education and Vocational Training.
c) Niramay Health and Research Center has been started in the premises of Gokul to cure minor illnesses of children & as well for the Community.
d) Mobile clinic has been started to serve neighborhing 10 villages in Mulshi taluka & 2 slums at Paud road, Pune;  to provide health care & treatment at nominal charges & to find out HIV/AIDS cases so that they can be given proper guidance to manage / control their HIV.
